What are participants saying?
When asked why she took the class, Laura said “I have so much in my brain that I want to get out!”
The most helpful was the idea of pulling ideas from everywhere, which I love. I have so much writing in so many places and this made me look at it from a different perspective. I also liked the “gremlins” and “policies” podcasts. Those have been life-changing for me! 🙂

Meggin thinks “outside the box.” Academics can think in “silos” and obviously does not. She grabs your attention and is motivating.
I cannot be more pleased with my progress. I am even beginning to think of myself as a “writer.”
Meggin’s teaching style is excellent. I’ve always believed in what I call the teach it – try it method for learners of any age and you proved it yet again.
Recommend this class? Absolutely! This conference helped me organize my program of research for the rest of the year.

I like the natural way that Meggin introduces the ideas that really helps my writer’s block symptoms, and they work. I wasn’t expecting to find so much inspiration for writing about stuff in my life through her exercises, but I did, and it has opened up my ability to communicate again.
I feel like Meggin was talking directly to me and loved it!
I would recommend this class. Its a lively, engaging kick in the you-know-what. The class creates FUN around writing. Everyone needs that.
Meggin is a goldmine of ideas, resources, and advice. Her background as an academic researcher (and teacher) is evident in her workshops because they are never superficial; she always had so much stuff to offer. She really digs into the topic and has further available references if something in particular grabs a participant’s attention. I also love how she can be both really frank and humorous at the same time.
