I cannot be more pleased with my progress. I am even beginning to think of myself as a “writer.”
Guess what I did yesterday!? Locked myself in a great hotel suite and did a full FINAL edit of my book–all 10 chapters! Finalizing the details with an Elance copy editor (professional) today. Posted another Elance request for illustrator–CAN you say “Meeting the deadline!!!!” AND all of this thanks to you and Gini!
I have managed to write everyday and have managed to push through some less than optimal circumstances to do it. I just submitted my second article to EzineArticles.com and have done more writing at work than I have in ages. In the last week I have written four short pieces for various reasons and I’m about halfway through reworking a scholarly article on my research (It’s 7000 words, so this is not a small undertaking). I won’t say it’s easy. But it is do-able. Thanks!

I would recommend 30 Articles. I think it’s a good jumpstart for everyone if they are serious about writing.
Meggin has a lot of experience with many of the types of issues that block productivity. I like that she was an academic in her previous history because she is aware of the process and types of work academics do, and thus can make a connection.
Meggin is funny, candid, and insightful at the same time. She knows what she is talking about and she does not spare her words. She tells you how things work, and clearly guides you through the various hurdles that a writer can find on her way to getting her writing done. I have gone through these lectures once already and learned a lot. But I do expect that I will repeatedly come back to them many more times. Even if you know all the theory about writing and productivity, having Meggin on your side as a guide through this program can help you get started if you need some more cajoling and sup…
The most helpful was the idea of pulling ideas from everywhere, which I love. I have so much writing in so many places and this made me look at it from a different perspective. I also liked the “gremlins” and “policies” podcasts. Those have been life-changing for me! 🙂

In a word? Refreshing. Precise. Gratifying. Actionable. Life-Changing. Okay, obviously there’s no way to describe it in one word. Some of the information provided may not be new, but the way she presents it makes all the difference in whether or not it gets through. The difference between Meggin’s and other workshops I’ve attended is that, when I complete her workshops, I don’t walk away and forget it. Her language is in my mind when I leave, and it motivates me to actually DO the things she suggested.

I would like to say that I am starting to think of myself as a writer for the first time in many years.

Meggin, I felt your genuine commitment to be of service in helping to encourage and develop me as a writer.
